No Fibs — what binaural beats can and can't do
A binaural beat is a real acoustic phenomenon — two slightly different pure tones, one per ear, are heard by your brain as a slow wobble at the difference frequency. What it doesn't come with is guarantees: the research on whether the delta/theta/alpha/beta bands actually change your mental state is genuinely mixed, so treat the band names as popular associations, not promises. This is a relaxation aid, not a medical treatment for anything, and it needs headphones — on speakers the effect collapses into a single wobbling tone. Don't use it while driving. Everything is synthesized live in your browser (sound starts only after you click, as browsers require): no account, no uploads, no analytics, nothing recorded.
